Dru Coming Back - The Young and the Restless

The number one story I want to see as of now is Dru coming back. It’s been way too long. They never found her body so it’s definitely possible. She was at the Y&R 50 celebration so that means the franchise and herself can’t have that much animosity anymore. At this point, we need her for the show more than Devon and Lily do

Dru will never be back on the show. There is a whole lot of bad blood between her and CBS.

To be honest, I was really surprised that she was invited to Neil’s memorial episode. But if you pay attention to that episode, she is the only one not in character everyone else was portraying their characters.

If they can’t work things out with Victoria Rowell, Lisa Bonet would make a great Dru. Sherri Saum would also be terrific.

I don’t know if I’d want to see someone else in the role. However, what if they got a Misty Copeland type and Dru came back as an accomplished dancer again?

There was an out-of-court settlement; the facts of which have never been released. I suspect that there was something in there that Dru would not be recast and if the character was ever to be brought back it would have to be Victoria Rowell in the part.

There is a lot of bad blood between Victoria Rowell and CBS. If in fact there was a clause in the out of court settlement that Dru would be permanently retired if she wasn’t portrayed by Victoria Rowell, then the character of Dru will never be seen again because they will never ask her back.

Victoria Rowell was accusing CBS of black balling her. Apparently there was a part on another soap that she felt she would be perfect for but she didn’t get it and she claimed it was because she was suing CBS and they were preventing her from getting work.

It was all really ugly.

I thought it was quite magnanimous of TPTB that she was invited back to partake in Kristoff St. John/Neil Winters Memorial episode.
